Tissue displacements are estimated with speckle tracking in B-scan images. Atemplate region in a first image is compared with a plurality of imageportions insubsequent image, and a tissue displacement is based on the comparison. Insomeexamples, the comparison is based on a Fisher-Tippet distribution.
