In one aspect, a computer-implemented method for managing conflicts in alogicalcomponent hierarchy is provided. The logical component hierarchy includes anancestorcomponent and a descendant component associated with the ancestor component.Themethod uses a computer device in communication with a memory. The methodincludesdetermining, by the computer device, a requirement to replace the descendantcomponent,within the logical component hierarchy, with an overriding component. Theoverridingcomponent is associated with the ancestor component by an overridingreference. Themethod also includes replacing the descendant component with the overridingcomponentwithin the logical component hierarchy.
