Systems, methods are provided for communicating financial benefit informationassociated with an electronic prescription transaction submitted by ahealthcare provider aspart of the healthcare provider's medication selection process for a patient.The transactionmay be received at a service provider computer from a healthcare providercomputer andmay include patient identification information and one or more identifiers fora product beingprescribed to the patient. The service provider computer may identify afinancial benefitprovided for the product and may transmit the transaction, including theidentified financialbenefit for the product, to a pharmacy computer. The identified financialbenefit for theproduct may alternatively and/or additionally be transmitted to a healthcareprovidercomputer or a patient communication device.
