The apparatus comprises a number of 5 components that can also be considered a repair system to include a drill guide, a marking hook, and a drill with a removable tip that serves as a bone anchor. In another aspect, the invention provides a suture especially adapted for securing both soft tissue and bone anchors that reduces forces transmitted to the anchors by secondary anchoring of the suture within the bone tunnel based on the geometry of the anchor.
