A management computer having a processor and a memory is connected to a host computer and a storage device via a switching device. When a node executes a task, the management computer: acquires a set of interchangeable part values including configuration information for constituent elements of the group to which the node belongs and stores the acquired data in performance information; registers one or more nodes to be evaluated; acquires a set of interchangeable part values for each constituent element of the group to which the node to be evaluated belongs and stores the acquired data in performance comparison information; selects a combination of the performance comparison information and the performance information for the a matching elements therein; calculates an evaluation value for the selected combination of the performance comparison information and the performance information; and outputs a combination of the evaluation value and an identifier of the node in the performance comparison information and the performance information with matching elements.
