FINGER STALLS TO DEVELOP THE MUSCLES INVOLVED IN FINGER MOVEMENT

These finger stalls are fitted over fingers and serve to biomechanically exercise and develop all the muscles involved in finger movement. This device consists of a material with textile support (4) in the form of a finger stall partially covering the proximal and medial phalanxes of each finger and interlocking parts. Each interlocking part consists of a weight (1) covered by a casing {2} and a male fitting {3). The parts are attached when these male fitting (3) are inserted in female fitting ( 5 ) embedded in the back of the material with textile support (4) in the form of a finger stall. The manual exercise carried out with this device provides the user with all the benefits of the muscle developing exercise owing to the overload applied by the weights on the phalanxes. Therefore, this device will essentially help people to develop this manual ability for occupational use and to aid in the rehabilitation of people suffering from motor insufficiency.
