In order to retrieve tourism information suitable for the present position of a user and provide the tourism information to the user, a user portable terminal (20) is provided with: a camera (44); a GPS receiver (48) which measures the present position of a user; an azimuth sensor (49) which measures the azimuth of the present line of sight of the user; a memory (42) which associates and stores a plurality of reference areas assigned to a plurality of objects on a map and a plurality of pieces of tourism information, tourism information associated with each of the reference areas among the plurality of pieces of tourism information including a plurality of pieces of azimuth-by-azimuth tourism information associated with a plurality of azimuths; and a retrieval module. The retrieval module extracts a reference area in which the measured present user position is located from the plurality of reference areas, extracts azimuth-by-azimuth tourism information corresponding to the measured present user azimuth from the plurality of pieces of azimuth-by-azimuth tourism information associated with the extracted reference area, and provides the extracted azimuth-by-azimuth tourism information to the user.
