A method for controlling the passenger compartment temperature of an electrically operated vehicle which has a battery (26), comprises the following steps: provision of an air-conditioning system (10) with a coolant circuit (14), thermal coupling of the coolant circuit (14) to the battery (26) in such a way that the battery (26) forms a heat accumulator of the coolant circuit (14), and optional cooling or heating of the battery (26) while the battery (26) is coupled to an electric charging station for charging the battery (26).
