A device (10) for treating chronic total coronary occlusions or occlusions of other arterial regions, the particularity of which resides in that it comprises a microcatheter (11) adapted to accommodate a stylet (12) which ends, at a distal end, with a ring (13) made of shape memory material, the ring (13) being adapted to pass from a flattened closed configuration, when the ring (13) is accommodated within the microcatheter (11), to an open condition when the ring (13) is made to exit from the microcatheter (11).
