The invention relates to a method and braking system, in which the driving dynamics of a motor vehicle are influenced, wherein a driver-independent braking operation generates a yaw moment, which supports cornering and deflecting of the motor vehicle, and a driver-independent increase of the driving torque is caused on at least one wheel in order to at least partially compensate for the braking delay of the motor vehicle, wherein a braking operation is called for if the ratio of the friction coefficient currently used and the friction coefficient that is possible to use exceeds a predefined threshold value.
