The present invention relates to a method for preparing an iron carbide/carbon nanocomposite catalyst for a high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction, and a catalyst thereof, and to a method for preparing liquid hydrocarbon using an iron carbide/carbon nanocomposite catalyst, and liquid hydrocarbon thereof. The present invention provides an iron carbide/carbon nanocomposite catalyst for a high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction which has been formed from iron carbide particles, in the form of Fe5C2 having a high reactivity to an FT synthesis reaction, by high-temperature sintering and then activating, in a carbon monoxide atmosphere, iron oxalate particles, which have been formed by mixing iron hydrate salts, a saccharide, and a surfactant and then subjecting the resulting mixture to a hydrothermal reaction, and provides a method for preparing same. And the present invention relates to a technology for preparing liquid hydrocarbon using the iron carbide/carbon nanocomposite catalyst which has been prepared thereby.
