The trousers (1) have two sleeves (5) intended to cover upper portions of the legs of a wearer, respectively. Each sleeve includes a free lower edge (6) intended to be arranged in the knee joint, and a cover part (8) overlying the edge of the knee. The cover portion is provided with a cushioning pad (9) having an upper patellar insert (10) and a lower tibial insert (11) for respectively covering the patella and the tibia of the knee. The inserts are separated by a clearance region (12) that is arranged to allow dissociation of positioning of the inserts on the knee.
