The invention relates to a self-tapping screw for insertion into maxillary bones, the shape of which provides space for grafted biomaterial or any bone substitute, preventing the gum from exerting pressure thereon, while also serving as an epithelial cell barrier, in order to allow the entry of osteoblasts, such that osseointegration can occur. The screw comprises an active part, a body and specially formed capsule-shaped head, the inner face of which can house the biomaterials or bone grafts or bone substitutes that can be used to shape the lost alveolar crest. With titanium implants it is possible to restore a tooth, however with with this invention it is possible to restore the lost gingival papilla. In addition, since it is made from a semi-rigid material it prevents transmission of force from the gingival tissue covering same above the material disposed in the capsule, which material is osseointegrated with the receiving bone of the patient. Similarly, owing to the shape of the screw, it can be easily fixed to the bone and this anchoring method prevents micro-movements of the grafted bone or the bone substitutes being used. Moreover, owing to its morphology it is possible to restore the anatomy of the alveolar crest. The screw can be used for regenerating lost bone tissue using biomaterials, PRP, PRF, stem cells or any other bone substitute, combined with collagen or titanium membranes or titanium meshes, as well as for healing maxillofacial fractures more quickly and more effectively. Given that it is a material that supports the gingival tissue, it provides the time necessary for a reparative process to take place inside the capsule and in the body of the screw. The production method provides the shape of the capsule required for successful bone regeneration, for use together with titanium implants. In this way, the dental and gingival appearance can be restored in a predictable manner over time.
