The invention relates to catanionic vesicles consisting of a mixture of oppositely charged surfactants carrying magnetic nanoparticles. The invention also relates to a method for preparing said vesicles, and to the uses thereof especially in the fields of pharmacy, cosmetics and magnetic bioimaging. The invention further relates to a method for guiding catanionic vesicles according to the invention under the influence of a magnetic field, and to a method for releasing solutes that are potentially present inside said vesicles.
