The method involves providing compressed air sources (14-16) for supplying compressed air to fluidization area (7). A pressure measuring unit (17) measures the pressure of compressed air from compressed air sources. The compressed air pressure of compressed air sources is regulated to target pressure, based on measured pressure of compressed air. The target pressure is set based on discharge flow rate and position of bulk material discharge flow controller (6).
