A moving body position estimation device is provided with a position information reception unit for receiving position information indicating the position of a different moving body different from a moving body, a route retrieval unit for retrieving a movement route from the position of the different moving body to the destination of the different moving body on the basis of the position information received by the position information reception unit, and a position estimation unit for determining the movement distance of the different moving body on the basis of the speed of the different moving body and the time that has elapsed since the time at which the different moving body was at the aforementioned position and estimating an estimated position of the different moving body on the movement route. As a result, it is possible to obtain position information for a different moving body even in a condition in which communication with the different moving body is not possible.
