The present invention is capable of providing an animal model in which opacification has been effectively induced by creating an alkali burn by using strong bases on the central cornea of an animal, and medicine for treating corneal opacification, which is the largest cause of loss of sight, can be effectively screened by using an animal model having induced corneal opacification according to the present invention. Also, provided in the present invention is a pharmaceutical composition containing a chondrocyte-derived extracellular membrane (CDECM) for preventing or treating corneal opacification which has been verified through the animal model, and a method for screening a therapeutic agent for corneal opacification.
