The spring contact element has a conductive spring carrier (1) having a symmetrical region of predetermined stiffness in a plane perpendicular to an elongated extension. A contact piece (2) with a spring support is conductively connected with a conductive non-precious material to form an abrasive contact portion. The material of the surface of the contact piece is made of noble metal or noble metal alloy. A round cross-sectional spring wire with partially symmetric stiffness in the cross-sectional plane, is provided at the spring support. An independent claim is included for slip ring transmitter.
