MINIMALLY-INVASIVE METHOD FOR POSTOPERATIVE MONITORING OF CANCER PATIENTS

Disclosed in the present invention is a method for determining cancer-related biomarkers and for postoperative monitoring of cancer patients, comprising: respectively constructing sequencing libraries of cancer tissue and para-cancer tissue from the same cancer patient; sequencing the cancer tissue library and para-cancer tissue library; comparing the sequencing results for said cancer tissue and para-cancer tissue with reference human genome sequences; determining the somatic cell structure variations based on the sequence alignments for said cancer tissue and para-cancer tissue; and screening said somatic cell structure variations for the intrachromosomal translocations(ITX) and interchromosomal translocations(CTX) with no less than 5 breakpoints, as the biomarkers of said cancer patient. The biomarkers may be used in the postoperative monitoring of cancer patients.
