The present invention provides mobile phone-based two-dimensional code encoding and decoding methods and systems. Data information input by a user is acquired, and the data information is converted into a two-dimensional code, so as to realize two-dimensional code encoding. Further, a two-dimensional code picture is processed into binary data information, and the binary data information is parsed into text information by using a preset decoding algorithm. It is convenient for mobile phone users to exchange information by means of two-dimensional codes in daily life.
