The invention relates to a composition comprising the RNA identified by sequences SEQ ID NO: 1-3, and the use thereof for producing a medication for treating chronic kidney disease. The invention also relates to a method for selecting, from a compound library, compounds that can be used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, said selection method comprising the following steps: (a) incubating tubular kidney cells in the presence of one of the compounds selected from the compound library; (b) determining whether the expression of BASP1 in the tubular kidney cells is lower than the expression of BASP1 in a control sample; and (c) identifying the compound chosen in step (a) as a compound that can be used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, when the expression of BASP1 in the tubular kidney cells is lower than the expression of BASP1 in a control sample.
