摘要

A purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for imaging cancer in a fresh tissue sample, as a substitute for, or a complement to, an H&E stained specimen during cancer diagnosis. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for maintaining biological tissue fragments in the living state ex vivo. Provided is a method in which a tissue fragment collected from a living body is treated for at least 30 minutes or more at a temperature of 29-33°C, and thereafter brought to 35.5-37.5°C, whereby the biological functions of the tissue can be maintained in the normal state. Also provided is a method for detecting cancer in a biological tissue fragment through imaging, by treating the tissue in the presence of 2-[N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl)amino]-2-deoxy-L-glucose (2-NBDLG).
