Disclosed are a touch key module for preventing proximity touching, and a proximity touching prevention method. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a touch key module for preventing proximity touching comprises: an electrode unit comprising a touch electrode which is formed on the bottom surface of a substrate, a first electrode which is formed on the upper surface of the substrate and is disposed in a first area of the upper surface so as to sense touching by a user's body or by a capacitive touch pen, and a second electrode which is formed on the upper surface of the substrate and is disposed separated from the first electrode by a predetermined distance from the first electrode in a second area encircling at least part of the first area so as to sense any proximity touching (hovering) of the user's body or of the capacitive touch pen; and a signal processing unit which, when a touch event has occurred via the electrode unit, either executes a function corresponding to the touch event or ignores the touch event by using a first digital counter value received via the first electrode and a second digital counter value received via the second electrode.
