Provided are the following: an injection-molding method and an injection- molding mold for forming with good accuracy an optical lens which includes an optical function part having the desired optical characteristics, by controlling the fluid state of resin in the injection-molding mold; an optical lens formed by the injection-molding method and the injection-molding mold; a lens unit using the optical lens; an image pickup module; and electronic equipment. The optical lens (10) comprises: an optical function part (12) having optical functions; and a flange part (14) formed around the optical function part (12). The flange part (14) includes at a lateral surface thereof a cut portion (42) which is formed by cutting a gate part (16). If viewed from the optical axis direction of the optical lens (10), a thinnest portion (18), in a region (44) surrounded by lines (L1, L2) which connect both ends (42a, 42b) of the cut portion (42) and the optical center (O) of the optical lens (10) and a line (L3) which connects both ends (42a, 42b) to each other, is present in the optical function part (12). The flange part (14) includes a depression (40) outside of the region (44).
