The invention relates to a femur component (20) of a hip joint prosthesis made of a forged titanium alloy, having a shaft (21) which is intended for cement-free anchoring in the femur of a person or animal and which has in a proximal shaft region (24) a porous metal surface (25) produced by sintering and/or fusing. The proximal shaft region (24) of the shaft (21) is provided with a tailored outer surface (28) which is provided with metal structures (31) made of titanium or of a titanium alloy which are bar-shaped and/or strip-shaped and/or undercut or have undercuts, which metal structures are fused and/or sintered on by means of a laser beam and delimit outwardly open pores (32) for aiding attachment of the femur and/or osseointegration. The invention also relates to a method for producing a femur component of a hip joint prosthesis.
