Provided is a split ring cooling mechanism that can efficiently supply cooled air and that can efficiently cool a split ring. Also provided is a gas turbine equipped with the split ring cooling mechanism. A split ring cooling mechanism that has: a cavity that is surrounded by a compartment casing and by a split body main body and that has cooled air supplied thereto; and a cooling channel that is arranged in the circumferential direction inside the split body main body, that communicates at one end with the cavity, that opens at the other end into rotational direction front-side and rear-side side-end parts of the split body, and that has cooled air flowing therein. The cooling channel includes: a first cooling channel that is formed in a first region that is on the rotational direction front side of the split body, and that discharges cooled air from the rotational direction rear side toward the front side; and a second cooling channel that is formed in a second region that is on the rotational direction rear side of the split body, and that discharges cooled air from the rotational direction front side toward the rear side.
