This cutting tool breakage detection device detects breakage of a cutting blade (5) for a cold heading machine (1). This cutting tool breakage detection device is equipped with: a detection unit (7) that generates a signal based on vibrations occurring during cutting with the cutting blade (5); and a determination unit (10) that determines whether or not breakage of the cutting blade (5) is present on the basis of the signal generated at the detection unit (7).
