The invention relates to a corrective appliance facilitating the development of the physiological conditions required for children to switch from sucking to mastication, characterised in that it comprises: an intraoral part (2) at least partially made of a compressible flexible material forming an intraoral mastication plane; and an extraoral part (3) which is detachably attached or attachable to said intraoral part (2) and comprises opposing surfaces for supporting the upper lip and the lower lip when said appliance is positioned in the mouth of a child.
