A health degree assessing device (terminal device (51)) which assesses a degree of health of a subject is provided with: a feature quantity input unit (communication unit (54)) which accepts as inputs feature quantities which are extracted from a captured image of an organ of the subject and are used to assess the degree of health of the subject; and an assessing unit (53) which compares the feature quantities of the subject, input by way of the feature quantity input unit, with the distribution of the feature quantities of a population, to assess deviations in the physical constitution of the subject corresponding to individual differences with other individuals, and changes in the physical condition of the subject. When assessing deviations in the physical constitution of the subject, the assessing unit (53) uses, as the distribution of the feature quantities of the population, the distribution of the feature quantities of the other individuals, prepared using the other individuals as the target, and when assessing changes in the physical condition of the subject, the assessing unit (53) uses, as the distribution of the feature quantities of the population, the distribution of the feature quantities of the subject himself or herself, collected during an evaluation period in which the physical condition of the subject is being evaluated.
