A measuring device serves the purpose of measuring a measuring signal. The measuring device comprises receiving means for receiving the measuring signal and processing means. The measuring signal comprises known pilot symbols and unknown data symbols. The processing means comprise first iteration means (27) for iteratively determining first parameters of a signal derived from the measuring signal based on the pilot symbols and a symbol decision means (26) for determining the data symbols based on the first parameters determined by the first iteration means (27). Moreover the processing means comprise second iteration means (37) for iteratively determining second parameters of the signal derived from the measuring signal based on the known pilot symbols and the determined data symbols.
