a method of calibrating a transmitter (1) and a receiver (2) polarimetric radar (10) is used to determine which matrices are associated respectively with the polarimetric distortion at the transmitter and the receiver.the method does not use a standard target can be implemented in any conditions, including the bistatic configuration, and requires a number of steps is reduced.some of these measures are carried out in the process of calibration using a removable medium (3) in the path of the electromagnetic signal is emitted and detected by the radar, and an angular position of the movable means is varied between two different measures.
