The invention relates to a heating unit (1) for generating steam from liquid and for heating gas and comprises a fluid container (2) having a wall (20), said wall (20) comprising an inner surface (21) and an outer surface (22), and a heating element (3) in contact with the wall (20) of the fluid container (2), said heating element (3) is arranged to the wall (20) such that liquid arranged in the fluid container (2) is indirectly heated via the inner surface (21) of the wall (20) such that steam is generated from the liquid in the fluid container (2), and said heating element (3) is arranged to heat gas on the side of the outer surface (22) of the wall (20) of the fluid container (2). The invention further relates to a heating device comprising a heating unit (1), a liquid connection and a fan. The invention relates also to a method for generating steam from liquid and for heating gas in a heating unit (1).
