Detection of endotoxins and/or 1,3--D-glucans in a sample includes making contact with the sample using an amoebocyte lysate and at least one type of particles having a surface made of at least one metal or metalloid oxide. This makes it possible to considerably increase the sensitivity of lysate detection.
