The present invention provides a method for controlling the root hair elongation of a plant, the method comprising a step of transforming a plant cell with a recombinant vector including the Oryza sativa Sec14-nodulin domain-containing protein 1 (OsSNDP1) protein coding gene derived from rice; to a method for producing a transgenic plant of which the root hair elongation is controlled, the method comprising a step of transforming a plant cell with the recombinant vector including the OsSNDP1 protein coding gene; to a transgenic plant of which the root hair elongation is controlled, and a seed thereof; and to a composition for controlling the root hair elongation of a plant, the composition containing, as an active ingredient, a recombinant vector including the OsSNDP1 protein coding gene.
