Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a lean duplex stainless hot rolled steel sheet. The disclosed method for manufacturing a lean duplex stainless hot rolled steel sheet comprises: a step of thinly casting molten metal of lean duplex stainless steel in the form of a board and rapidly cooling the molten metal; and a step of continuous annealing and heat treating the rapidly cooled material. The rapid cooling step includes a step of rolling the material thinly casted in the form of a board at a first temperature during the rapid cooling step to maintain acicular-shaped austenite inside a ferrite matrix structure of the rapidly cooled material. The present invention has the advantage of ensuring the same or greater elongation at room temperature when compared to the existing lean duplex stainless steel.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
