The present invention relates to a hydraulic circuit comprising an operating valve equipped to be adjacent to at least one solenoid valve to connect the solenoid valve with a friction element, and to block the solenoid valve from the friction element and to connect a switch valve with the friction element when hydraulic pressure is supplied through the switch valve. A hydraulic line is divided into a first branch flow path connected with the solenoid valve, a second branch flow path selectively connected with the solenoid valve or the operating valve according to operation of the switch valve, and a third branch flow path having an ON/OFF solenoid valve to operate the switch valve. Provided is the hydraulic circuit for a multi-stage transmission capable of running a limp home mode having an effect of enabling forward, backward, and parking shift of a vehicle by implementing a combination of friction elements of R stage, N stage, D stage, and P stage in a limp home mode of the vehicle to which a shift lever of a shift by wire (SBW) type is applied, as the solenoid valve and the switch valve are additionally equipped in a line divided from the hydraulic line to continuously receive a line pressure to control the hydraulic pressure supplied to the friction element by receiving an operation signal of a shift lever, even if power applied to the solenoid valve to control hydraulic pressure supplied to the friction element through the hydraulic line to combine the friction element is blocked.
