Provided is a method for generating a multi-scale model for network data of a digital map, which when a small scale digital map is generated from a large scale digital map, may quantitatively analyze the correlation between various property elements having influence on a selection or deletion of a network object or a relative influence on a selection result, and applying this to selection and deletion rules, enables a user to utilize a digital map while changing the scale thereof in a web or mobile service by producing a multi-scale model for network data of the digital data, may significantly reduce costs and time required for a process of producing a map compared to a conventional manual editing method by automating a process of generating a set of network data of a digital map for each scale, may produce a map of the same quality regardless of the preference of the cartographer and, when a correction to the property or graphic information of terrain features occurs, may minimize the workload for updating the correction.
