Disclosed are a USB system and a method for operating a USB host. The method for operating a USB host according to the present invention includes the steps of: starting the transmission of data in an on mode (L0); entering a suspend mode (L2) after idle delay time elapses when the transmission of the data is finished; converting the suspend mode into the on mode after resuming when the data are requested; and dynamically increasing the idle delay time by comparing a current miss rate based on the current suspend time of the suspend mode with at least two or more preset auto suspend miss rates.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
