Provided are a road curvature extracting system and a method for extracting a road curvature using the road curvature extracting system. The road curvature extracting system includes a first measuring unit, a second measuring unit, a vehicle state variable estimating unit, and a vehicle orientation estimating unit. The first measuring unit extracts information on lateral offset. The second measuring part includes a YAW RATE sensor, a steering angle sensor and a speed sensor. The vehicle state variable estimating unit receives information measured in the second measuring unit to estimate a vehicle state variable. The vehicle orientation estimating unit receives information on the lateral offset and information on the vehicle state variable to estimate vehicle orientation according to a curvature state of the front road.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
