The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition and a functional food composition including Smilacis chinae rhizoma of Smilax china L. for allergic diseases, and more particularly, to a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition and a functional food composition including Smilacis chinae rhizome of Smilax china L., that may dissolve in a polar solvent for allergic diseases including an atopic dermatitis of which occurrence increases globally. According to the present invention, the pharmaceutical composition, the cosmetic composition and the functional food composition including the single extract of Smilacis chinae rhizome as an active ingredient are provided. The side effects of, the tolerance to and the toxicity of the compositions are not shown for the long-term administration, and the generation of allergic inflammatory reaction and chronic inflammatory state may be decreased through the decrease of the cytokine concentration of IgE, Th2 and Th1 in blood serum, that play an important role in causing immunological diseases, the restraining of the secretion of histamine of mast cells and an inflammation inducing active material, and the decrease of the permeation and activation of the mast cell of skin tissue.
