Novel strain Cellulophaga sp. degrading polysaccharides and a method for degrading polysaccharides using the same

The present invention relates to a novel strain in Cellulophaga sp. having polysaccharide decomposition activity, more specifically to a novel strain in Cellulophaga sp. which is obtained by the following steps: collecting samples from seawater, a foreshore, and a shore around Korean southern sea regions, and separating microorganisms from the samples; selecting a microorganism which is capable of decomposing carboxymethylcellulose (CMC); confirming whether the microorganism is a novel strain in Cellulophaga sp. through 16S rRNA analysis; and confirming whether the strain and culture supernatant thereof have decomposition activity against various polysaccharides.
