The present invention provides a nanocomposite catalyst including a nickel core and an inorganic oxide shell and a method for manufacturing the same using a reverse micelle and sol-gel method to manufacture synthetic gas by being applied to a carbon dioxide modification process using natural gas and a process of modifying a mixture of carbon dioxide and steam. According to the present invention, the nanocomposite catalyst can increase and maintain dispersion of nickel particles even when the synthetic gas is produced by high temperature firing. Therefore, carbon deposition and generation of coke are reduced. The nanocomposite catalyst has excellent performance, is stable, and is durable even after operation for a long period of time.
