The present invention relates to an intelligent power demand management method and system based on a microgrid, which facilitate an efficient saving of power through intelligent agents connected to microgird-based power generation sources and loads. According to the present invention, the intelligent power demand management method based on the microgrid includes: receiving a feasible saving of power and a feasible cost reduction by requesting each intelligent agent to send the same which can be achieved by each of the power generation sources and loads based on a preset required saving of power and its reward if receiving a power saving order of the microgrid; and requesting, by a central controller, an intelligent agent satisfying an optimal condition based on the feasible saving of power and cost reduction received from each intelligent agent to save power.
