The present invention relates to a composition for promoting memory and preventing or treating diseases related to cognitive dysfunction including epigallocatechin-3-gallate and luteolin as active ingredients. More specifically, the mixture of epigallocatechin-3-gallate and luteolin of the present invention exhibits enhancement of memory in Morris water-maze test and passive avoidance test using a mouse in which memory loss is induced by beta-amyloid (A beta_1-42) which is one of factors causing dementia, thereby being used as pharmaceutical compositions and health food for preventing and treating diseases related to cognitive dysfunction and memory.
