NOVEL MICROORGANISM OF BACILLUS SP. AM-1058 STRAIN WITH ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY AGAINT GINSENG ROOT ROT PATHOGENS AND ITS CULTURE MEDIUM OF THE SAME

The present invention relates to a Bacillus sp. AM-1058 (KCTC-12420BP) strain which is an antagonistic microorganism with antifungal activities against ginseng root rot pathogens which are main pathogens in ginseng cultivation, and to control of pathogens, which are generated in ginseng cultivation, using a microbial agent for preventing root rot on ginseng comprising the Bacillus sp. AM-1058 (KCTC-12420BP) strain. The Bacillus sp. AM-1058 (KCTC-12420BP) which is the antagonistic microorganism isolated from soil: has high antifungal activities against four kinds of the ginseng root rot pathogens including Cylindrocarpon destuctans, Fusarium moniliforme, Fusarium solani, and Serratia marcescens; has enhanced rearing affinity for cultivating ginseng; and shows antifungal activities and possibility of rearing in a culture medium optimized for mass culture at high temperatures and wide range of pH. More specifically, the present invention relates to an environment-friendly microbial agent which does not cause environmental pollution and has continuous pathogen control properties against pathogens causing the root rot on ginseng using a microibal agnet containing Bacillus sp. AM-1058 (KCTC-12420BP) which is a antagonistic microorganism and a spore or a mixture thereof. The Bacillus sp. AM-1058 (KCTC-12420BP) strain improves the root rot on cultivating ginseng and root rot occurring in a place for continuous cropping or farming of ginseng, thereby being the microbial agent required for ginseng cultivation, and being able to be used as an environmentally-friendly agricultural material.
