The present invention relates to a composition containing green tea polysaccharide as an active ingredient for suppressing oral bacteria and, more specifically, to a composition for suppressing oral bacteria, wherein the composition contains green tea polysaccharide as an active ingredient, thereby having excellent antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans which is a decayed tooth bacterium or Prevotella intermedia which is a periodontal disease bacterium. The composition for suppressing oral bacteria according to the present invention contains green tea polysaccharide extracted from a natural material, thereby minimizing side effects and having excellent antibacterial power, and thus can be variously applied in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic fields.
