The present invention relates to a Castor bean lysophosphatidyl acyltransferase 299 (RcLPAT299) gene separated from Ricinus communis L., and a production increase of ricinoleic acid of transgenic plants transformed by using the RcLPAT299 gene. In the present invention, the content of the ricinoleic acid increases in the seed of the transgenic plants transformed by the RcLPAT299 gene, thereby being widely used for increasing the production of ricinoleic acid in various plants.
