The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically effective amount of an amniotic mesenchymal stem cell and a pharmaceutically acceptable support thereof for treating ischemic diseases. According to the present invention, the amniotic mesenchymal stem cell expresses and secretes genes and proteins associated with chemotactic properties, cell movement, and angiogenic properties at a high level when compared to an adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell. Moreover, the amniotic mesenchymal stem cell: reduces myocardial infarction; significantly increases the blood vessel density; promotes secretion of multiple paracrine factors; significantly increases left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF); and thus can be advantageously used for treating ischemic diseases.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
