The present invention relates to thioredoxin type-h derived from a microalga spirogyra varians and to a transformant obtained using the same. Thioredoxin is an enzyme system playing an important role in the oxidation and reduction of an organism. In the present invention, the thioredoxin type-h is obtained from spirogyra varians, and it has been confirmed that the transformant including the same has high resistance against oxidative stress.
