A wireless power transfer system and a wireless power relay device are disclosed. according to an embodiment of the present invention, the wireless power transfer system comprises a source resonator configured to transfer power wirelessly, a target resonator configured to receive the power wirelessly, and a relay resonator configured to have a quality factor higher than those of the source resonator and target resonator and relay the power from the source resonator to the target resonator through mutual resonances. The relay resonator can be designed to have the quality factor higher than those of the source resonator and target resonator by at least one among the material, structure, and size thereof.
